  • Aging in Place, Access to Care, Obesity and Food, and Disaster Services are designed to enable our volunteers to assist more fragile seniors and disabled people remain in their homes with increased health, security and safety. 
  • School Readiness and Success finds our volunteers helping children with math, reading and socialization skills through teacher support services, teaching, tutoring and mentoring in head start, primary settings and K-12.
  • Community Capacity Building engages RSVP volunteers helping in a wide range of other Community Priorities, all important, and in service to people.  RSVP volunteers provide the skills and manpower that enable local organizations to enhance the quality and scope of their services.

Health Checks

In Fall of 2016 over 30 RSVP Volunteers worked in collaboration with United Way of Monroe County, Mercy Memorial Hospital System, Family Medical Center of Michigan and the Monroe County Health Department to bring Free and Low-Cost Health Screenings  to residents of the county.  Events held in Monroe and Carleton served nearly 200 individuals. 


Spring Health Checks for 2017 are scheduled for June 8th in Bedford and June 15th in Dundee.
